D3 Jail Action There are hundreds of activists in jail, many of who are at the King County Jail. So the protesters move to the jail, where they plant themselves for days, engainging in consensus decision-makng process meetings, advocating for the release of all prisoners and negotiating through lawyers. Food is shared, music and art occurs. It is a tremendous community experience. DATE: December 3, 1999
There is a long fun chant, "Africa! Don't Sign!" in conjunction with the same chant at the Westin Hotel. Africa had not signed the Ministerial's agreement yet. The agreements will collapse if they do not. DATE: December 3, 1999
Here, we drive from the jail to the Westin Hotel. |
